I met Lawrence several times throughout my Tantra training but last year many teachers were gathered on the Big Island this time last year and the simplicity of his teachings bothered me. I recently had a spiritual breakthrough on October 15th of 2020 where I discovered through a series of intense triggering and trauma that I was abused as a child and was continuing to run the abusive program by being a part of my family of origin, where I was the SLAVE. This was THE relationship that was creating the biggest RIFT that I was hoping to chip away at slowly, but Universe basically ripped off the bandage and said,”You’re ready now.” The book that became my operating manual of late Pete Walker’s “Complex PTSD from Surviving to Thriving” explained all of the symptoms and personality affects of my abuse in verbatim detail so I had no choice but to accept my reality.
This conversation is very exciting for me as the student because one year later, I’m ready to meet this teacher at his teaching (which sometimes happens in our accountability and healing process). CPTSD (Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) is about our brain and body’s subconscious survivors of abuse known as TOXIC SHAME. This toxic shame is the cause of toxic behaviors that manifest in BOTH genders when we are acting out our subconscious programs.
Lawrence said last year,”Every problem that you have in life is due to HIDDEN SHAME.” and how I resisted that thought immediately because I couldn’t think of anything that I was still ashamed of or in denial of at that time. After reading Pete Walker’s book, I remembered this takeaway and wanted to do a webinar on hidden shame.
Of course, the not ready disciple will always respond back with “Shame? I’m not ashamed of anything.”
Lawrence and I will begin our webinar starting on the topic of HIDDEN SHAME.
